Hippo's Yawn is a weathered granite hollow whose open mouth gives it the name. It is less spectacular than Wave Rock but more playful, and it makes a natural add-on to the main sight.
You can drive close to it or walk from Wave Rock if the heat is reasonable. The walk is the better option, since it slows the place down and gives you a feel for the scrub around Hyden Rock.
