Hannans North Tourist Mine is an open-air museum on one of Kalgoorlie's early gold-mining sites. The grounds keep old mine buildings, heavy machinery, and exhibits that explain how the Goldfields grew from a rush into an industrial mining town.
It is a useful stop for understanding the scale and grit behind Kalgoorlie-Boulder's mining history, especially before or after seeing the Super Pit Lookout.
