Northam's suspension bridge crosses the Avon River in the middle of town and gives a simple, pleasant focus to a riverside walk. It is long enough to be more than a token footbridge, with good views back along the water and toward the town's older streets.
On its own it would not justify a detour. Paired with Bilya Koort Boodja, breakfast after a balloon flight, and a slow walk along the river, it helps Northam make sense as a spare-day destination.
