The Esplanade is the redeveloped foreshore promenade that runs above Scarborough Beach. A 2018 makeover added grass terraces stepping down towards the sand, a public amphitheatre, free barbecues, a skate park, and an outdoor exercise zone. It functions as the suburb's main public space and is busy from dawn (joggers, parkrun) to past midnight (food trucks and live music in summer).
The clock tower at the centre is the meeting point. Free outdoor cinema sessions and concerts run regularly in the warmer months; check the City of Stirling event calendar.
