Connor's Mill is a restored steam-driven flour mill from 1870, built when Toodyay was still tied closely to wheat, river crossings, and the inland road from Perth. It now forms part of the visitor centre complex and is one of the town's key heritage buildings.
The appeal is partly mechanical and partly architectural. The mill gives a clear picture of how a small inland town turned grain, transport, and convict-era labour into a working local economy.
