Fonte Plateau is the high ground east of Asan, part of the inland terrain fought over after the beach landings in 1944. It is not a dramatic visitor attraction in the way Asan Beach is, but it helps explain why the battle was so costly: whoever held the plateau could observe and contest movement below.
There is limited formal interpretation, so this is mainly for travellers tracing the battlefield in detail. Combine it with Asan Bay Overlook and Matgue River Valley rather than making a special trip for the plateau alone.
