Manu Bay is Raglan's famous left-hand point break, the wave that helped put the town on the international surf map after appearing in The Endless Summer. When the swell lines up, surfers peel along the rocky point in long, clean sections.
You do not need to surf to enjoy it. The reserve above the bay gives an easy view of the break, the black coast, and Mount Karioi behind you. The rocks and currents make this a place to watch carefully before getting in.
