Raglan and District Museum

Raglan and District Museum is the town's compact local-history stop, covering Whaingaroa harbour, Maori history, early European settlement, farming, surf culture, and the area around Mount Karioi. It is the right place to start if Raglan otherwise looks like only a beach town.

Allow less than an hour unless you like reading every label. The value is context: the harbour and coast have deeper stories than the weekend surf traffic suggests.
