Te Toto Gorge

Te Toto Gorge is a steep volcanic cleft on the road beyond the surf points, with views down toward old Maori garden terraces and the rough coast below Mount Karioi. The track into the gorge is short but steep, and it can be slippery.

This is not a polished lookout. That is part of the appeal: a raw edge of the coast where Raglan's surf-town ease gives way to cliffs, wind, and old settlement traces.
