A rental car is the only practical way to see Babeldaob. The compact ring road runs roughly 80 kilometres around the island and is paved nearly all the way, the result of a Japanese-funded road project completed in the 2000s. Allow a full day for a round-island drive with stops.
There is no public transport. Taxis from Koror are expensive but possible for a half-day trip; tour operators in Koror offer Babeldaob day tours that work well if you do not want to drive.
