Pont de la Margineda is one of Andorra’s best medieval bridges, a single high stone arch crossing the Valira south of the capital. Its scale is modest, but the curve is elegant and the mountain setting makes it feel older and more rural than the nearby traffic suggests.
It is worth a short stop if you are exploring beyond the shopping streets of Andorra la Vella. The bridge gives a cleaner sense of the old valley routes than many of the capital’s rebuilt historic corners, and it photographs well from the riverbank.
