The Linzertor is Freistadt's best-known gate, standing at the western approach to the old town. Its height, painted details, and defensive features make it more than a simple passage in the wall.
Look for the old spelling "Freystadt", the imperial double eagle, and the signs of the former drawbridge. It is a good entry point for a wall-and-gate walk.
