Saint-Nicolas Church

The Church of Saint-Nicolas is a robust Walloon Baroque structure built across the 17th and 18th centuries, standing at the heart of Durbuy's old town alongside the castle. The baptismal fonts date from the early period of the church's construction and are worth examining if you step inside.

The church anchors the pedestrian square and provides the best vantage point for understanding how tightly the medieval townspeople packed their most important buildings together on this bend of the Ourthe. Services are still held here, and the building is generally open during daylight hours.
