St. Nicholas Church anchors Eupen's Marktplatz with twin spires and a baroque body built mainly between 1721 and 1729. Parts of the older church history go back much further, but the present building is the one that gives the upper town its silhouette.
It is worth stepping inside for the contrast between the sober market square outside and the richer interior. The church also makes a good first stop because Eupen's main museums and viewpoints are only a short walk away.
