Sint-Maartenskerk (Saint Martin's Church) is the principal parish church of Kortrijk, a large Gothic structure on the north side of the Grote Markt. The interior is worth a look for the carved rood screen — one of the finest in Belgium — and a collection of paintings including works by Antoon Claeissens. The church is often overlooked in favour of the nearby Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk, but it deserves a visit in its own right.
The building dates from the 14th and 15th centuries, though the tower was never completed. Free to enter during opening hours.
