The hills above Bojentsi offer excellent walking in the Stara Planina (Balkan Mountains), with views north across the foothills to the Danubian plain on clear days. The village sits at 750 metres, and the ridge above it rises to around 1,000 metres — high enough for beech forest and mountain pastures, but accessible to any reasonably fit walker without specialist equipment.
Several marked trails lead from the village up through the forest and along the ridge. The most popular route follows the Bojanka river upstream before climbing to an open ridge with panoramic views; the walk takes about two hours return. More ambitious walkers can continue on to Gabrovo or connect with the main Balkan Mountain trail network. Spring and autumn are the best seasons: the beech forest in October turns spectacular shades of gold, and the wildflowers in May are abundant.
