Cape Kaliakra Museum

The small museum at Cape Kaliakra is built directly into the cliffside, a cave-like space hung with finds from the medieval fortress and earlier Thracian and Greek settlements: amphorae, jewellery, weapons, fragments of mosaics, and Byzantine coins from the city that stood here.

The displays are modest and the lighting is dim, but the setting — looking out from the cliff face onto the open Black Sea through a low doorway — is unusual. Allow about 30 minutes; included in the reserve admission.
