South Beach is the practical beach for Nesebar, set on the mainland side rather than the old peninsula. It has sand, umbrellas, seasonal facilities, and enough space to make a swim easy before or after exploring the old town.
It is not the reason to come to Nesebar; the churches are. But in summer the combination works well: history early, beach later, then back to the peninsula for dinner when the worst heat has gone.
