The Church of Christ Pantocrator is one of Nesebar's most beautiful medieval churches and the one many visitors remember first. Its brick-and-stone facade is richly patterned, with blind arches and ceramic details that show the confidence of Byzantine-influenced church building on the Black Sea coast.
It stands in the old town where foot traffic is constant, but take time to circle the exterior rather than just photograph the front. The church is compact, balanced, and decorative without feeling fussy, a perfect introduction to Nesebar's architectural language.
