Pleven's Regional History Museum is housed in a former military building and is larger than most visitors expect. Its collections cover prehistory, archaeology, ethnography, natural history, and the wars that made the city famous.
It is the best indoor complement to the Panorama. Use it to widen the visit beyond one siege and understand Pleven as a regional centre, not only a battlefield.
