The Ribarska Kuća ("fisherman's house") is one of the most reliable options on the waterfront, specialising in grilled fish and Dalmatian seafood classics. The fish is sourced locally and the menu changes depending on the day's catch — sea bass and sea bream are the most consistent options, but the waiter will tell you what's best. Order the buzara (mussels or shrimp cooked in white wine, olive oil, garlic and parsley) as a starter.
The terrace faces the sea and fills quickly in summer evenings, so arriving before 7pm gives you a better choice of tables and a more relaxed meal. Prices are moderate by the standards of the Makarska Riviera, which is to say: not cheap, but fair for the quality.
