The main beach at Baška Voda stretches along the waterfront promenade, a long band of small pebbles leading into some of the clearest water on the Makarska Riviera. The sea is shallow for a good distance out, which makes it popular with families, and the pebbles — though harder on the feet than sand — keep the water remarkably transparent. Pine trees provide shade at the edges and the promenade itself is lined with cafes.
Swimming conditions are generally excellent from May through October. The water visibility can easily reach 10 metres or more on calm days, and the Brac Channel running offshore creates a natural wind break that keeps the bay calm in most weather.
