The Riva — the seafront promenade — is the social spine of Baška Voda, lined with cafes, restaurants, and palm trees. In the evenings it fills with a gentle drift of people doing the korzo, the Croatian tradition of the evening walk along the seafront that serves as both social ritual and entertainment. Children race around on bikes, couples walk, and everyone sits and watches everyone else.
The promenade runs the full length of the beach and continues past the marina at the south end of town. It is a good place to book boat excursions — operators run day trips to the islands of Brac and Hvar, as well as to the Blue and Red Lakes in the Imotski area, from the dock here. In the evenings, the restaurants along the riva are the best places for fresh fish and grilled seafood.
