The car and passenger ferry from Jablanac to Mišnjak on Rab Island is the reason most people stop here. The crossing takes about 15 minutes and runs throughout the day in summer, less frequently in winter. The ferry carries cars, making this the primary mainland connection for Rab if you are travelling with a vehicle. Foot passengers and cyclists pay considerably less.
From the harbour, the view across the Velebit Channel to Rab is clear on most days. The channel is narrow enough that you can see the island's distinctive silhouette — its fertile ridgeline and the cluster of towers at Rab town. The crossing itself is short enough to feel like a novelty rather than a transit, and the sight of the Velebit mountains receding behind you as the island approaches is one of the better ferry views on the Croatian coast.
