Every July (typically the 25th to 27th), the town of Rab hosts Fjera, a three-day medieval fair. Locals dress in historical costumes and run open-air workshops demonstrating traditional crafts — pottery, coinage, basket weaving, carpentry, and sculpting. You can also watch honey makers, herbalists, and florists at work.
The highlight is the crossbow archers' tournament on St. Christopher's Square, where archers explain the history and technique of the crossbow before competing. The festival closes with a parade and fireworks.
