The town's defining building. A castle stood on this hilltop from the 15th century but was rebuilt in the 1850s in the romantic Tudor-Gothic style fashionable across central Europe at the time, by the noble Haugwitz family. Crenellated towers, pointed-arch windows, and a small park surrounding it.
Today it is owned by the town and used for concerts, weddings, and changing exhibitions; opening varies by event. Even when closed, the walk up through the woods and the views over the rooftops to the White Carpathian ridges are reason enough to climb the hill.
