Pastýřská stěna Via Ferrata

Pastýřská stěna is the cliff facing Děčín Castle across the Elbe. Its via ferrata routes climb straight out of the city, which makes the experience unusual: one minute you are on the river embankment, the next you are clipped to a steel cable above the roofs.

There are routes of different difficulty, but this is still real climbing. Rent proper gear, check current conditions, and use a guide if you are new to via ferrata. The reward is a fine view over the castle, the river bend, and the wooded sandstone hills beyond town.
