Jested Mountain is Liberec's landmark, visible from much of the city. The summit tower, built in the 1960s as a hotel and TV transmitter, continues the shape of the mountain in one sharp hyperboloid line.
In clear weather you can see across northern Bohemia and toward Germany and Poland. The old cable car has been closed since a 2021 accident, so check current transport before you go; the summit still works well as a hike or bus-and-walk trip.
