The Green Gate is Pardubice's most recognisable landmark, a tall Renaissance tower marking the old entrance into the historic centre. It is worth climbing when open, mostly for the view over the square, castle, and flat East Bohemian landscape.
At street level it also gives the town a proper sense of arrival: pass through the gate and the scale shifts immediately from traffic to old-town arcades.
