The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is Písek's main church and the strongest vertical marker in the old town. Its Gothic core, frescoes, and tower give the compact centre a proper medieval silhouette.
It is not a reason to come by itself, but it belongs naturally in a walk from the bridge through the old streets and squares.
