Tábor's town walls are not a single grand monument but a set of fragments that make sense as you walk the edge of the old town. They were built and improved after Tábor became a Hussite fortress, and they still give the centre its hard outline above the river.
Use the walls as a route rather than a checklist stop. They connect naturally with Kotnov Tower, the old lanes, and viewpoints where the town's defensive position becomes obvious.
