St. Mary's Lutheran Church

St. Mary's Lutheran Church is Otepaa's main historic church, with roots in the 17th century and a Neo-Gothic appearance shaped by 19th-century rebuilding. The tower rises 51 metres, making it one of the town's easiest landmarks to pick out.

The church is most interesting for its layers: an 18th-century door lock, a 19th-century organ built in Tartu, later facade work, and a bell gifted from Finland in the 1990s. It is a natural stop when walking between the town centre and Otepaa Castle.
