Vestmanna's small Viking Wax Museum is a low-key, family-friendly attraction tucked into the town. The figures depict Norse life in the Faroe Islands — settlers, fishermen, and the characters of early island history — with the kind of earnest detail that local museums do well.
It won't detain you for long, but it's a worthwhile half-hour stop if you have time before or after the bird cliff boat trip. The Faroes were settled by Vikings in the 9th century, and this region of Streymoy was among the first inhabited areas. The museum puts some flesh on that history.
