Källskär

Small southern island known for a protected rock formation, harbour, garden, and eccentric buildings.

Källskär is a small island south of Kökar, usually visited on seasonal boat trips. It is known for Källskärskannan, a protected rock formation shaped by the Baltic weather, and for the unusual buildings and garden created by Göran Åkerhielm.

The trip is weather- and season-dependent, but it is one of the most distinctive outings from Kökar. Go for bare rock, sea light, and a little human eccentricity at the edge of the archipelago.
