Gustav Adolf Church, or Iisalmi Old Church, was consecrated in 1780 and gives the town one of its clearest older landmarks. The simple wooden form is a useful contrast to Finland's later stone and brick civic buildings.
It is a short stop rather than a full attraction, but it rounds out Iisalmi's older town story.
