Koljonvirta is the battlefield landscape north of central Iisalmi where Swedish-Finnish forces won one of their last victories on Finnish soil during the Finnish War of 1808-09. The victory did not change the war's outcome, but it still matters in local memory.
The history path starts near the Juhani Aho Museum and works best as a gentle walk rather than a conventional monument stop.
