Sapokka Water Garden is Kotka's most polished park, wrapped around a sheltered bay close to the centre. Water is the organising idea here: sea edge, ponds, channels, and a constructed waterfall set among carefully planted beds.
It is an easy place to like without overthinking it. Come for a slow walk, especially in the growing season when the flowers are at their best, and pair it with Kotka's other parks to understand why this port city takes its public green spaces seriously.
