Kattpiskargränden, or Kissanpiiskaajankuja in Finnish, is a tiny lane in the wooden centre and the town's most photographed oddity. Its name is often rendered as Cat Whipper's Alley, which is enough to make most visitors stop even before they notice how narrow it is.
Do not expect a grand sight. This is a quick, funny stop that works because it belongs to the old street pattern, not because there is much to do once you have found the sign.
