Äkäsmylly is an old mill by the Äkäslinkka rapids, used by local people until the 1960s. In summer there is a cafe, and the surrounding trails make it a good short nature stop.
A 3.5-km trail leads toward a human-faced sieidi stone by the lake. Wet ground is common, so waterproof footwear helps.
