The main Muonio-side gateway to Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park, about half an hour from the village. Stop here for route advice, maps, weather checks, and exhibitions before heading onto the fells.
The nearby trails are the reason to come. In summer the open tops give wide views across western Lapland; in winter the same landscape becomes a white, wind-cut world of ski tracks and short daylight.
