Noitatunturi is the highest summit in the Pyhätunturi fell group. The name means Witch Fell, and the walk up gives Pyhä its proper sense of scale: forest below, open fell above, and broad views across central Lapland.
The marked circular route from the resort is a real hike, not a casual viewpoint stroll. Expect rocks, weather exposure, and enough climbing to make good shoes and a packed layer sensible.
