Öjskogsparken

Open-air museum area preserving buildings and everyday objects from local Ostrobothnian life.

Öjskogsparken is the town's main local-history museum area, with old buildings and collections that explain the farming, craft, and domestic life of Swedish-speaking Närpes. It is the natural companion to the church stables.

Come here for context rather than spectacle. The buildings make most sense if you are interested in how this part of Finland stayed rural, Swedish-speaking, and self-contained while still changing through immigration, greenhouse farming, and modern coastal industry.
