Isonkivenvaara is the easy viewpoint above Nuorgam, with broad views over the Finnish fells, the Teno valley, and the emptier country toward Norway. The old sitting stones on the fell were resting places for reindeer herders leaving the village.
It is a modest stop, but a good one. In a place this open, a little height goes a long way.
