Lake Pulmanki lies in a long valley east of Nuorgam, reached by a scenic fell road. The lake occupies the line of an ancient Arctic Ocean fjord, and the surrounding river valley feels wilder and more exposed than its easy road access suggests.
For most visitors it is a drive, a picnic, or a short walk. Experienced hikers can use it as the northern end of the long Sevettijarvi-Pulmanki route through Kaldoaivi.
