Rautalampi Church is one of the village's strongest landmarks: a large wooden church from the 1840s designed by C. L. Engel, the architect better known for shaping neoclassical Helsinki. Its scale feels almost outsized for the small parish around it.
The church and its surrounding park make a natural first stop before crossing to the museum.
