Pyhavaara is the southern hill in the Ruka massif, with rocky terrain, rare plants, and a history of sacred significance to the Sami. Marked trails reach the smaller Pikku-Pyhavaara summit, where there is a hut and a campfire site.
Stay on the path here. The landscape is more fragile than it first appears.
