Myyrmäki Church is one of Vantaa’s strongest pieces of modern architecture, designed by Juha Leiviskä with an interior shaped by light, white surfaces, and layered vertical forms. From outside it can seem restrained; inside, the space opens in a much more lyrical way.
It is a worthwhile detour for architecture-minded travellers moving through the Helsinki region. The church shows a quieter Finnish modernism, where daylight and proportion do more work than ornament.
