The Casino Grand Cercle is the showiest survivor of Aix-les-Bains' old resort life. Built for the spa crowd, it still gives the centre a dash of Belle Epoque theatre, with decorative interiors that matter more to most visitors than the gaming tables.
Even if you have no interest in gambling, look in for the architecture and the sense of what Aix was selling when aristocrats and well-heeled patients came here for cures.
