Grand Massif

Large linked ski area and summer mountain playground above Samoëns and Flaine.

The Grand Massif links Samoëns with Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, and Sixt, giving the village serious winter range without making it feel like a concrete ski station. In good snow, you can spend days moving between bowls, forest runs, and high open slopes.

In summer the same lift network and tracks open up walking and mountain-bike routes. The terrain is broad rather than severe, which makes Samoëns a good choice for mixed groups: some can chase long days out, while others stay close to the village.
