The Tour des Voleurs, or Thieves' Tower, sits near the western edge of the old town and gives Riquewihr a useful dose of grit. It was part of the defensive system and later associated with the town's justice and prison functions, a reminder that walled wine villages were not built only for postcards.
Visit it together with the Dolder rather than treating it as a separate excursion. The two towers frame the old town well: one ceremonial and photogenic, the other narrower, harsher, and closer to everyday medieval administration.
